    Original use:

    Corner structures: Quoins are painted white, but appear to be gray limestone.

    Mortar application and content: The horizontal mortar is sloped to a sharp edge, while the vertical mortar is triangular in cross section at the top and slopes down to the horizontal. The verticals blend into the horizontal until no differentiation between vertical and horizontal is visible.

    Types and uses of stones: Large, multicolored and irregular, and are laid four rows to the quoin in front and three rows on the sides.

    Types and choice of windows: Lintels are painted white, but appear to be gray limestone.

    This one and one-half story house at 2980 Ewings Road has an addition at the back.
